Respect the clubs wishes in honouring a deceased ex player. Who cares the keeper isnt wearing the no. 1 shirt, he can still do his job

Please overturn this silly ruling and allow this club to continue with something that is very close to not only players hearts, but former players, coaches, managers, family, spectators and even the wider footballing community that may not really know this club but do know and sympathise with what was a heartbreaking story.

Stop being jobsworth so at the league and show some common sense and compassion! Rules can be amended in special circumstances!

Come on Southern League do the right thing, drop the bureaucracy and show some compassion. Good luck with this petition from a Kings Lynn Town FC supporter

Could have all been solved with a little common sense and a few brain cells. New people needed.

Why were R&D not allowed, and for what reason ? I have always thought/hoped that non league football was a family, please reconsider your decision.

Ridiculous decision. Number retirements must be up to the clubs.
