As a mark of respect for such a trgic loss of life The Southern League should also show there respect and respect the clubs wish

I was at the club at this time, it was a deeply saddening moment! This touching tribute should be allowed to continue it does not affect the league in anyway!

They need to petition not only the Southern League, but the FA as well, there needs to be a rule for retired numbers that covers all competitions that do not use Squad Numbers so that AFC R&D are not having to petition every League or Competition they play in where Squad Numbers are not used.

Being a goal keeper my self I think this is a mark of respect for the lad and the no1 shirt should stay retired.
The league should also allow the no17 shirt to be played in and remember the no1 shirt is retired for a good reason

Think it's very important this tradition is continued. He was a very talented keeper and it was very sad how it all ended.

I support this cause. It's a mark of respect. It's not harming anyone. If a first choice no 1 gk was unavailable all season they'd wear no 13 or 17 etc. Let the club show their respects

This is simply common sense, number 1 is not and never will be an option for the team sheet. Any decision against this is simply ridiculous. Rip dale, you'll always be missed.
