The Southern league board should be ashamed of themselves for not allowing this.

Shame on the Southern League for this disgraceful decision. Hopefully common sense and respect will eventually prevail.

As someone that simply loves football, I believe that the word "respect" that is driven so highly in to people's minds by the FA with it's respect campaign it should be applied across the board in any given situation.

As Co-Chairman of Dartford FC, former long-serving members of the Southern Football League, I fully support this petition. There are times when rules/laws need bending/amending/changing. This is such an occasion.

stop being pedantic arseholes and let them pay their respects in a way that suits the club and its fan base ! football is being ruined by greed and bureaucratic bullshit like this !

As a non-league fan (Chelmsford City) I think that the Southern League should show compassion in this case and allow this exception to their otherwise sensible rule.
