The tribute to Dale should be respected by the southern league and Rushden allowed to honor it!

Dale came to a community event I was running only a couple of months before his passing. A lovely guy and a big hit with the young people from the area. Let's hope the Southern League Board see sense and overturn the decision

A honourable and brave stand for such a tragic loss, Huge respect to AFC Rushden & Diamonds from a brother in the football community. An Oldham fan.

Respect to both Dale and his family should be put well above all football related 'politics' in this instance. Derby County Fan

Respect for and support of Dale's family should be above football 'politics'.

This is a pitiful bit of meaningless bureaucracy for its own sake. I understand there's reasons for the numbering rules in the lower leagues, but there's also reasons for humanity, compassion and reasonableness. Is there anyone outside the league offices who sees a reason to deny them? Have they even bothered to ask the other clubs, referees and team officials?

The Southern League board should have a word with the United Counties board, to find how to act with humanity.

As a supporter of rivals to AFC R & D I'm happy to offer my support to this campaign. Ridiculous decision by the league.

Not known for their common sense approach in the past let's see if the relevant authorities can come to their senses on this issue.
