It wouldn’t be worth the workers of the island going to work having to pay these costs....

After years of no fair etc etc it finally seems to be busy and thriving most weekends. This may stop people coming to the new businesses there. Give them a chance , don’t put people off !!

Badly thought out plan that will have a major impact on businesses, locals, and those wishing to visit regularly such as dog walkers, fitness groups, park run.

Another short sighted council decision. Just thinking of ways to raise money and bugger the ramifications

Does the Vale want to kill off the Barry Island traders so that Newydd can build yet more 1 bedroom rabbit hutches?

Parking charges will stop people from visiting as much. The council got rid of the knap pool we will end up loosing the island attractions if charges are brought in. The council have to stop using excuses to fund there pockets stop the charges of loose the island.bshame on the council spoiling the vale attractions again

I am very proud of Barry and it's sea fronts and like to show my friends around, so to charge for parking would be a disaster for all visitors and even worse for businesses and Barry in particular. Say NO NO to charges of any kind.l

We use barry island every week to take our dogs for a walk. Following we always stop for a coffee in one of the local cafes. Whilst I don't object to paying a small charge as we usually use the car park they have now hiked up the cost of this . Will seriously consider not visiting if they continue to hike up the prices.

I live locally on the Asda estate. Last Summer was bad enough with tourists parking on the estate blocking pavements, drives & wheelchair access. If these tariffs are imposed it will be worse.

Trying to make Barry Island a tourist hotspot but at the same time charging people to visit! This is only going to make tourism fall
