Many families in this town are struggling financially, at least let them park for free so they can enjoy their beach and local attractions

They also need to re=think Porthkerry also. I would not be able to afford my daily walk there (litter picking as I go) if I had to pay everyday.

Very short sighted of the Vale to punish people who use the Island and Knap for activities. The small businesses will suffer.

I am a resident of Barry Island and these changes will dramatically affect local businesses and residents. It has taken a long time to increase visitors to Barry Island following the closure of the Camp Site and these changes will surely prevent people coming to Barry Island. Not only that, it will affect residents who have to pay for parking and their family members who often busy too. We have only just started to see regular visitors all year through, with dog walkers keeping us afloat theough the winter, all to be taken away overnight. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard since the waterfront will be used to build leisure facilities along with houses! The Council won't be happy until we have a ghost town and ghost resort, rather than build up the Barry/Barry Island economy

How to stop the increased visitor numbers. What is the Council thinking?

Holton Road School staff being treated as second rate council workers. No parking facilities provided. Unlike for those at Docks, Council and Alps Offices etc. Discriminatory.

Parking meters at Barry Island will create parking issues throughout the old estate and the Waterside Development. The proposed £10 a day rate will hit the traders hardest. This policy goes against the hard work the tourism department is doing in attracting visitors.

I volunteer at Barry Island all year round and this would be detrimental to the service I can offer to the community
