Another Vale of Glamorgan Council misguided idea. Do they give any thought to the business these sort of decisions will affect. Not to mention all the health benefits of people walking their dogs for an hour or so. Shortsighted, greedy and unfair to everyone, except the Council who will no doubt spend the money very unwisely.

Will not be able to afford to go as regular as I do, walk the dogs, have a coffee, snack and pay for parking is a No,
Make first 2- 3 hours free for local people and traders will keep their winter business.

1 hour is not long enough. People who dog walk then go for coffee and families who bring children out for play and fresh air.

The council should withdraw these proposals immediately. This will drive visitors away from Barry Island

Why go to all the expense of building Barry Island up to attract businesses and visitors, to then try to kill it dead, which these parking charges will, I walk my dog, along with several family members, every day and use the cafes etc most days that will have to stop if the charges are introduced - who wins here ????

Being regular visitors to Barry Island, we would definitely reconsider & wouldn’t be willing to pay for parking at all.
