It’s going to kill the town, we need to bring business into Barry not drive them away with charges for parking. Well done councilers, another bright idea!! NOT

I love Barry Island please do everything possible to support the local business there

This will kill local businesses and discourage healthy outdoor Lesuire for Barry residents. It’s shockijg that obesity is an individual problem when accessing the community is being rationed to those who have money.

Not sure on who’s idea was it to bring in charges for parking, it was a total bad idea. The town is quiet enough, this will put the nail in the coffin. Well done council, 10 of 10

Why are the council hell bent on ruining Barry

We should be making it easier for businesses to succeed make the island a buzzing place again

The residents will suffer ....no winners here only the greedy council....really stupid idea

As a Barry man, local paying council tax, road tax, petrol tax, only to be charged for parking in my local town is out ragerouse. And this will also be off-putting for local business, island is now only just coming to life thanks to danty family and the park rides, and now making Barry more welcome place. No parking fees please.

This would put me off coming as much to the island. Do not think it’s Good idea!

If you want Barry to become a ghost town yes charge people but if you want to help it thrive think of the workers , we work to bring people to the town , help local businesses, dont be greedy and attract.

I walk my dog several times a week. I also go to the hairdresser on Plymouth Rd. This will affect me as we can't afford to pay the extra council tax and extra car parking

Never mind robbing the council tax payers yet again, try reducing payments and expenses for councillors.

These charges will have an adverse effect on the wealth and attraction of Barry. Families and seniors will not be willing to pay the charges so both the town shops and the tourist areas and restaurants will suffer financially. So we’ll done VOGC - another bad decision!!

Stop the parking charges it will stop people shopping in town

Disastrous consequences for businesses - will deter visitors & undo all the hard work that has gone into revitalising Barry island

I think it is a very bad Idea to Barry to any form of parking charges

How can you possibly promote the resort and expect it to thrive while you charge exorbitant car parking fees to daily visitors, business owners and the people of Barry who enjoy the freedom that the beach provides. Money could be spent on renewing the deplorable toilets.
