Barry needs free parking at the Island to help the small businesses stay in business.
Please listen to the people who elected you to speak for them

This is pathetic! Can't go anywhere to enjoy a family day without skinting myself! One simple thing to come and enjoy nature, the beach and scenery and council trying to scrounge money from that too! I definitely will stop visiting if they start charging. Absolute joke!

Parking should be free to encourage trade to the resort and local businesses

The proposed charges are bad for everyone involved and will impact on the local economy

Parking restrictions will affect my number of visits to Barry.
Full consultation and impact assessment should be conducted before any decisions are taken.

We pay enough in council tax for very little back in return. Parking should be free.

I live near the Island. We have enough trouble parking at the mo with increased use of Barry station. This will impact on so many traders and residents. What is the council thinking of!!

During two maternity leaves I have spend a lot of time at Barry island - I wouldn't have been able to do this if there was a charge for parking. Little ones are not able to walk from where we live in Romilly Road and they will simply miss out on the gorgeous scenary and open spaces that I benefitted from growing up. Please just don't do this.

One of the wonderful things about living in Barry is being so close to the beach, by charging all year round for parking will put visitors and the public who live here off coming to the beach. It will effect the Local businesses as less people will visit. The council are turning Barry is turning into a money grabbing town!

Barry Island is back to it's bustling self, just like in it's hey day, bringing tourists back in their droves. VOG council...........you'll see them all leave, and businesses go down the pan, if you aren't sure of this take a look at the Town you fools!!

This is an unfair tax on the community and could act as a deterrent for people accessing this wonderful area, which could then have an impact on emotional and physical wellbeing

Against parking charges for residents we pay enough in Council Tax. More realistic parking fees should be considered - helps in the out of season months. VOG don’t monitor or enforce current arrangements. Work on road infrastructure would be more beneficial to residents and visitors especially in holiday periods - otherwise chaos all round.

Parking charges will cause unnecessary damage to the residents of Barry and its traders.
