The council are forever finding new ways of making life worse for us. Council tax up 31% in 5 years and now these idiotic parking charges.

This will stop people coming to Barry! We pay enough taxes already for these areas to be maintained! There is no other reason to charge... unless it’s to go in some back pockets!

We pay enough charges for the privilege of living in Barry , please let us support our business’s without any extra charge . You should be supplying free parking to encourage spending in our town , especially the Island then at least the business owners etc can pay your expensive business rates !!! You as a council are slowly but surely ruining our town with your greed . How about you start cutting your over staffed offices and our councillors look at their earnings before hitting the towns businesses yet again .

Just another way of our money grabbing council to make extra income... residents of the Vale should have parking within the county for free, including on Barry Island. Independent businesses work hard, and with these charges coming in they will lose a lot of custom and some may possibly have to close. Fully against it.
