The present council have gotten so greedy, the town isn't worth visiting and charging people to park all over is going to stop a lot of people coming to Barry altogether. Wish we could go back 40 years when Barry was amazing.

I live in Barry with my young family. We visit the Knap, Porthkerry Park, Cosmeston, Cliff Tops Park and Barry island regularly. My children love to run around and enjoy the outdoors. I don’t agree with the fees - we should be promoting the outdoors to all. If there do have to be fees, the winter reduction on the island and two hours free parking is a must to allow businesses to survive. Our town is starting to grow, please don’t hold it back by putting off the visitors and ruining the good work people have made to grow independent businesses.

Greedy councillors on their fat cat undeserved salaries, we would save a lot more if we got rid of them. People are charged enough to just to live!

In Rest Bay its £2 all day in Winter x it’s packed with people dog walking, walking and surfing and lots using cafe. It’s free on roadside too in order to encourage visitors xx

Residents of Barry should not have to pay for parking to partake in their regular activities, such as dog walking, taking children out to play, beach walks, shopping. We support local businesses by using Barry Island, Cold Knap, Porthceri etc!
