I am a member of the athletic club and it’s already an issue with people who aren’t members parking here. In the summer the car park gets so full on non-members that members can’t park. If they charge to park on the streets then people will try and get around this by parking in the athletic club

This is a disgrace to put these charges in place, this area should be accessible to everyone without greedy charges being implemented. A car park for the day in our lovely capital city only costs £5!!

A lower tariff would not deter visitors to the Island. The proposed new rates will definitely keep people away and local businesses will suffer.

Please do not increase parking charges that will jeopardise local businesses. This is a lovely place which I visit regularly all year round. £10 all day would deter me from visiting as it’s too expensive. Please don’t ruin a good thing

I understand the LA has to generate money to survive and VOG is lucky to have so many lovely places for people to visit but please make the feed manageable. Say £1 per hour. Max fee £5. People don’t mind small charges.

My children use the beach for surf life saving training - a skill that when they are older they will offer to the council for free. Ironic really.

This is an absolutely ill thought out idea. Local businesses need the support of the locals all year round and we won't visit if we have to pay for parking.

Holton rd is already a ghost town because the rates are to high. Charge for parking and even more businesses will be forced to close because people won’t visit anymore!
