I don’t disagree with car parking charges but perhaps 1 hour free then £1 per hour capped at £6??

We should be supporting local businesses, encouraging local residents to enjoy local amenities and the health benefits that come with it. The council seems obsessed with the idea of treating local residents as units of income instead of people.

I live in Barry island and dont want all the visitors trying to park outside my house because it's free. It's hard enough as it is!

The proposed parking charges are totally unacceptable and rejected by the public consultation. Why throw away money by paying consultants to manage public consultations and then ignore them? Added to yet more council tax rises this is yet another kick in the teeth of local residents. Enough!

I think the council should rethink this as it will be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of small businesses in Barry.
