Introducing additional parking charges on Barry Island will, in my opinion, have a detrimental effect on businesses and local residents alike. We should be encouraging visitors to this area for the good of Barry as a whole, not pushing them away.

Yet another example of wealthier areas being given special treatment and discounts over those who may need it more. This will deeply impact local businesses on the island during a time when the island is finally being able to grow itself into something more.

The Council needs to support small local traders. The proposed charges will affect traders and local people who may not be able to afford the charges.

Please reconsider these charges. We live local and popping down to the island for an ice cream with the children would be a different experience if we had to pay for parking whilst down there.

Not good. At will lead to people parking in residents areas further up by harbour road and canon street. Which is already pushed due to planning consent granted for flats in area.

I am a local resident. In addition to the impact on the local businesses I am concerned that family and friends who visit will now have to pay parking as there are no spare parking spaces on our estate to accommodate visitors.

I may not work there any more but a lot of my friends have businesses there that will be massively affected by this.
Seems like the island is being hit more than Holton Road with these charges as well. Just doesn't seem right.
