Petition against the proposed parking charges to Barry Island

Businesses have it tough - We need to make it easier for them not lose trade

I regularly visit Barry island from Cardiff with my 2 children and utilise the 2 hours parking.

I'm a regular visitor to the Barry Island with my dad. FREE PARKING or No Parking

I am a proud Barrian now living in Windsor and I have no problem spending £60.00 on fuel to visit Barry and the Island to catch up with family and friends. But I shall not pay 1 penny to have the privalege of parking at the Island. I think it is a disgrace Dale and Debbie

Barry has lost so much over the years....go on, make it a ghost town.

We pay enough in taxes and charges as it is. Stop draining people of they're hard earned money. Barry island isn't much of an attraction as it is. Now with these charges your going to loose even more people

How do a locate a posted a Petition ?

For someone like me, a pensiiner on fixed income, this would preclude me from enjoying one of the major pleasures of our town. One hour would not be long enough to gi anywhere and still enjoy a snack or coffee, and the subsequent charge of £6 is prohibitive. Businesses will be badly affected.

We want people to visit our town, not be pushed away because we charge for parking.

absolutely ridiculous, this will cost businesses on the island their living, shame on you barry council !!!

Parking on Barry Island roads should be maximum 2 hrs free parking and car parks should be charged and long term

Families want to be able to take their children to the beach and buy them an icecream. Not spend their money on parking!!

My partner lived in Barry you need visitors don't send them away

The council should listen to the traders. They pay rates andthey see the effects these sorts of charges have on day to day trade.

As a local resident this concerns me. I feel it will have a negative impact on local trade, and also as a resident living in one of the nearest streets with non-residential parking I feel it will lead to even more visitors using our street for free parking (as they often do already) making it even more difficult/impossible for residents to access parking spaces near their homes at peak times.
