I am a parent. I think college students need more options on meals. Their meals should fit with their schedules. Not fair $ is only good for one semester

This option isn't beneficial to all. My daughter never goes to the buffet and won't next year. You need to provide a flexible meal plan that's beneficial to the students and university for kids on the go.

I'd like all amounts to rollover & would like to decide my own proportions to be allocated to buffet vs. declining balance.

Here's the thing, Miami is not in the business of losing money; if they want more students at buffets is either because they a) make more money when students eat there because it's unlikely they'll consume $15 worth, or b)they're not currently making enough money in the buffets and are trying to create higher traffic to these areas Economically it makes a lot of sense for the school to do this but it is by no means a "deal" for students-especially when non buffet locations are so popular. In an ideal world, we might get rid of the "discount" as well as the flat rate fee -student

The administration would very much dislike the idea of having all dining halls open at once but perhaps instead it would possible to keep at least one open at all times? It could rotate on some regular basis? Also, a la carte is a huge convenience but students are blatantly being overcharged for it.

My school has a system similar to the proposed new one and it is very inconvenient
