It's nice that they included a declining dollars option but I think that 3000$ is too much. I would never use that much. If you're providing a declining dollars option actually GIVE US OPTIONS. So we don't have to have $3000. What if we only use $1000? I don't want to spend $3000 on something when I won't use that much. Give us the option to pick how much we want, for example $1000 $1500 $2000, etc. and we can pick the best option for us.

I'm an RA and I've already had to sign a contract for housing and meal plan for next year, but I would greatly appreciate if the meal plan did not change as drastically as it is proposed to. I live in Bishop Hall, which is close to many a-la-carte locations, but not to any of the dining halls. Taking time out of my day to commute to the dining halls will eat into a significant portion of my time.

We should keep the setup of our current meal plan. All we need to do is remove the 1650 fee, and pay full price for our meals

This meal plan option is not fair to us students! I love how open our plan is now and would hate to see it change!

Just goes to show that Miami doesn't have students' best interest in mind!

They are way over charging us for meals. We are going to be paying for more meals than we can physically eat in one semester.

The new meal plan is strictly a way to make more money and is not in the best interest of the students. It also doesn't align with the on-the-go atmosphere of this campus. People are always busy and it is much easier to grab something to go, then go and sit down to have a meal at a dining hall. Even with the flexible hours, the ding hall locations are not convenient relative to most academic buildings and many dorms.

The due rent system works very well in my mind. No need to change it and/or confuse everyone

Because of my very hectic schedule and tendency to not eat as much food, I absolutely despise this meal plan. I rarely ever eat at dining halls--once a week at MOST. Even at the lowest level of next year's plan, I'll be paying for 2 buffet swipes per day, with the majority of them going to waste. With help of scholarships I can afford tuition, but the fact that I'll have to waste so much money of meal plan is absolutely ridiculous. Miami needs to think about its financially troubled students and the problems that it can cause them with this change.

This meal plan is the complete opposite of what students at Miami want and desire.

I fully support this petition and its goals. We, as students, have the principle voice here on campus and it is time that the Administration hears our frustrations.

This meal plan is not friendly to kids who eat lighter meals and dont frequent the buffets.
