I would rather pay the assessment fee rather than be forced to have a meal plan with housing prices going up.

I adamantly enjoy our current meal plan, I am not a fan of dinning halls because they are too expensive and places like Harris do not have good food. Having the option of many places to eat is what makes Miami so great. Don't change it.

If you want to fix this issue, just eliminate both the Diplomat Fee and the 50% discount. This would increase 3rd and 4th year students eating on campus more.

This petition not only makes it hard for busy students to grab food on the go, but also creates an issue with upperclassmen students who do not wish to use dining halls when on campus. It also poses an issue for students who wish to buy small things rather than a whole meal.

The to-go option is a good idea! If the university is dead set on the current plan, the least they can do is offer a to-go option. And the dollar amount for swipes is a great idea.

I believe the meal plans need to be revisited. They are geared for the buffet plans and not advantageous for ala cart.
