I'd prefer it not to change instead of this!

Calculated out for someone who doesn't use any buffet halls, I'd be paying to lose ~$3,000 per semester. Thanks for giving me an "affordable option", Miami.

I think it should remain purely declining balance

Swipes are dumb

these changes seem counterintuitive, considering that most colleges seem to be moving away from swipe systems. I rarely eat in dining halls, and this isn't going to make me want to eat there more often.

I'll be living off campus next year so this won't affect me but it looks like a pretty bad deal so I'm signing this in the interest of future students. I think it would work better if people could choose the exact amount of swipes and declining balance because when I looked at all of the options none matchup up well with how often I eat at ala carte instead of buffet locations. I'd probably end up running out of declining balance and either having to eat only at buffet locations or adding more decking balance if I could afford to.

I know people that attend other universities where swipes are employed and all of them have told me that a declining balance is far preferable to a swipe-based meal plan.

The way I see it, until Miami works to make dining halls more affordable instead of treating them like restaurants and pricing out off campus students, I'm perfectly fine with making all my meals on my own.

This new meal plan is ridiculous. I go to a dining hall maybe once a week and this meal plan will not make me want to go more.

Don't wanna eat maggots/worms. Don't want the dining halls.

To the best of my knowledge most universities are moving AWAY from plans like these. It makes no sense for Miami to move backwards.

Please get rid of the new meal plan!

I think it's so stupid and will cause people to eat off campus. In addition, no dining halls are very centra for people to get to.
