This is an unforgivable waste of taxpayers money just to appease the PC groups..

Outrageously short sighted plan from the USDA when hundreds of hunters are available to help with responsible long term management

This is a serious waste of an opportunity to bring needed funds into govt. coffers.Hunters can be charged for licenses and money can be saved by not employing paid govt. snipers to do what hunters will do for free.

I hunt, I am successful, but the limited acreage, hunting implements allowed, and season limits the ability of true hunters to manage the deer population.

Just want to know why the rules change for "paid snipers" and are the weapons that will be used for the hunt NY compliant as per the safe act?

I agree this is a gross waste of taxpayers money. For any conservation effort to have long term success it needs to be economically viable. A long term manages program using hunters to cull the heard on a yearly basis much preferred option.
