I have serious reservations about changes 6 and 7, but they are far outweighed by my objection to the hiring of professional snipers and the infringement upon hunting opportunities of the general public.

If hunters were taking a few hunderd deer a year from these areas we wouldnt need the fed's to take 3000 now. well managed hunting works

Open up every available parcel of land and farms on the east end to archers. That is the only safe way to always keep deer populations under control. Bringing in sharp shooters with silenced rifles shooting off the back of trucks is not a wise choice in a heavily populated area. Hit that deer in the neck or ear or graze off the head where is that bullet going to wind up? Why are we wasting tax dollars to do something hunters will do free? Whose hand is in this one? And when the population blooms again we waste more tax dollars. Make a separate cross bow tag for nuisance areas charge a nominal fee for it and raise money rather then spend it. Have hunters interested in hunting nuisance areas put their name on a list for people that have enough acreage to hunt it, I’ll be on that list in a second. I live in the Smithtown Hauppauge area and that is quickly becoming the next Southold with deer. I had one glance off the front fender of my employers truck this past Wednesday by St Catherine of Siena hospital on 25 A and many are being hit on roadways in that area. Mark my words Smithtown Hauppauge area in 5 years or less!!! Many does this winter will have twins. Do we bring sharp shooters in there next? Open all beaches and parks & preserves to hunting now. The Feds coming in is really twisting my insides, I don’t have as much time to hunt as I have in the past and much of the state land does not contain the amount of deer private land does it is well under control because it is hunted. The problem with long island is the deer are thriving in areas where there is no hunting; open it all up to archers.

Big brother again? When the hell does it stop? In Florida...Big brother has been trapping bear and releasing them into populated areas within the Ocala national forest! Now they are threatening humans? Everything the feds get involved in is screwed up...let the people who could use the meat hunt them.....The next thing will be taxpayer paid for bear hunts ..how stupid! And as every smart person knows " You just can,t fix Stupid"
