This can be done with no cost to any town by bow hunters through expanded hunting opportunities and lengthened seasons.

We the hunters should be the ones maintaining OUR herds. I would say about 99% of us are ethical rule abiding hunters and lessening the distance from a dwelling to 200 feet would benefit us because the deer have become accustomed to the safety near swellings. We all understand why baiting is not necessarily a good thing but perhaps for the colder months December/ January it should be allowed to help decrease the population. Extending the season to February and allowing bow hunting during shotgun would also help us keep the

i have hunted on Shelter Iland for over 25 years and since the town has gone into a deer mangement with permits and increased hunting the numbers have dropped DRAMATICALLY !!!!
