All I can say really is IF this lame excuse goes through and happens, I hope that there is entertainment for those of us who disagree with the murder of innocent animals...maybe some awesome weapon backfires?

I see this as a great opportunity for the bowhunting population on Long Island to finally cut through the constipated government regulations. This petition "hits the nail on the head." It is about time our voice gets heard and eliminate all of the governmental red tape! This petition in plain English just makes a lot of sense!!!

As a hunter myself, I feel we should be given more opportunities to help with the deer population issue. Why spend tax dollars when hunters like myself would PAY for the opportunity to reduce the deer herds. More land should be made available and more liberal bag limits should be instituted. Cross Bows should be allowed during the January shotgun/muzzleloader season, and there is NO reason that archery equipment should not be allowed as well if a hunter feels he wants to use his bow and arrows.

southold does not allow hunters on town propery unless they are resident.dec should allow baiting they should have a baiting permit that you must get for a fee and all bait sites must have name and address listed on site. dec would make more money -more deer would be shot............

Legalize the use of crossbow on Long Island open more land for local hunters let us use bait to manage deer numbers .Slaughter should not be an option
