We tend to jump now and later questions later unfortunately some damage can't be fixed but at least an apology helps.

The BBC need to make a public apology, and soon , to Sir Cliff Richard, for their deplorable and despicable handling of their reporting regarding the Police search of Cliff's house whilst he was not even in the country, let alone not at home. Their news coverage at best could be described as insensitive, and they need to be held responsible for besmirching the character of Britain's most successful and well-loved music star whom had not been questioned, arrested or charged for any wrong-doing. It cannot be right that Cliff's integrity was immediately assumed to be in doubt, yet all the complaints about how this situation was handled have been dismissed without any thought as to whether they might be justified! cliff....sorry sir Cliff is entitled to an apology for the way things were dealt with... there is a right way and a wrong way.... you did it the wrong way. why can't you be big enough to admit it?

The way Sir Cliff rRichard has been treated is unforgivable ,This is so unfair nobody i know believes he could ever do such a thing and that is the thoughts of none fan's too , must be the worst feeling ever ,lets hope lessons can be learnt from this for this crazyness will never happen again,

The BBC behaved disgracefully towards a man who had not even been charged....he deserves a public apology for their "gutter press" style of reporting.

The treatment by the BBC of Sir Cliff Richard, it was beneath what I thought the organisation stood for - which is fair unbiased reporting. now on reflection - I question how many other stories have had the hand of the bbc in it. The failures of the bbc in the past should not make it possible for them as an organisation to clear their own failures by destroying the very long time held reputation of a man - a human being - I really hope your organisation is proud of its self because I a British citizen am ashamed and so are my friends from around the world.. I shall no longer be watching or listening to any bbc news or once again be watching the bbc "one show". . I hope you will put this situation right.

It about time that the BBC gave a public apology to Sir cliff Richard for the way they handled the situation and for putting Sir cliff in this traumatic time and give him the respect he deserves
