PETITION AGAINST STADIO / EMBURY – 4th YEAR GRADUATION

Embury, decided that no physical graduation will be conducted for the 4th year Graduates. We as students and as parents of the graduates herewith petition against this decision. Numerous universities and educational institutes have held graduations keeping COVID-19 regulations in mind. STADIO with limited effort can still create a graduation only for students of the 4th year to attend. It can be recorded and live stream via ZOOM for parents and family to watch. We as parents and students urge you to consider this and not to rob the graduates from this life changing experience.

Despite all this, it has now already been 6 months (May 2021) that we have not received our Bachelor Degree's. Where Embury/ Stadio Institute have witheld it from us without valid reasons. This has caused many Students to loose jobs or not be able to have jobs without their actual Degree's.

* Please note: The money donation is not for the cause (Graduation or petition against Embury/ Stadio), it is there from the website, for the website as a contribution - if anyone decides to donate.

One looks forward to seeing your child graduate after four long years of studying, countless hours spent on assignments and dont forget the finacial sacrifice parents had to endure over and over again. Let the kids enjoy their graduation Embury.

It is unfair that Stadio has chosen to give us a virtual graduation even when lecture rooms are being used for lectures and the country is in level 1 which allows for indoor and outdoor events to e held.

I was called from management in Embury 3 weeks ago to assure me our graduation has been held back enough and it will definitely take place on 7th May... what a bunch of liars... sitting with 4 months to prepare with level 1 lockdown, after taking R60 000 a year from us and you can't even give us a graduation... and after all the fees and waiting, it still gets postponed... pathetic

As a parent of Sashlene Janakeepersad 4 th year Stadio student I am deeply disappointed with the management and heads of department of Stadio our kids have waited four years for this victorious time and the institution has deprived them of this moment, yes we are aware COVID is a huge factor however strict COVID regulations can be implemented in order for the kids to have a graduation ceremony.

We spent 4+ years working so hard, to get a virtual graduation? That seems rather unfair. Considering our government has made provision for evens to still occur while adhering to covid protocols. As an institute they could have split the groups and had a graduation for everyone. It's the least we deserve.

I honestly feel that STADIO formerly known as embury provides terrible service to their students. They are only worried about their money, students spent so much of money over a period of 4-5 years of studying but are denied the rights from their certificates. This is reallly sad. You'd think that being a private college, they would have a plan of action, but no, only when it's comes to the students owing money then they want to take action. There were so many things promised made by embury, so many facilities that were promised to students. My sister finished her studies 10 Years ago with embury and we're still waiting for all those promises to be fulfilled. I would not recommend embury to any of my friends nor family. They really only think of themselves and do not take their students feelings into consideration. We are also humans. We also need jobs.

I feel not recognizing students for hours of hard work and sacrifice is disgraceful
