As a student pharmacist, we spent alot of time learning the basic and important skills in compounding but i feel it is not right to simply pass the jobs to others as pharmacist are gradually growth in number.
2nd i feel that patient medication safetiness is in danger. Presription is a must to be given and written down as a record. It is the basic information of what the patient condition is and what the patient needs. It is also easy for other healthcare profesional not only dr but other all profession to give a better healthcare service.
3. I feel like it truly benefits the dr but reducing the jobs, it also reduce other profession jobs as well. Because with lesser paperwork (decide by patients itself). But as a healthcare profession we have to do all this. It is proven by other country with the basic healthcare procedure it will benefits the patient in many ways for instance
1) correct dignosing
2) correct medication
3) and better drug control
I know there is alot of pharmacist out there not following the rules. Spoil their own image as a profession. But the rules itself have no issue on it. The problem is on the society and the working enviroment. Working each other from different profession is lacking. Dr dont get along with pharmacist and pharmacist dont get along with them as well. This is the problem nowadays. If all profession work as a team, trust me malaysia will be a healthier country

Just my humble opinion, perhaps we should focus on rejecting one or two with a strong reason instead of rejecting all of it. For instance the first one, if no mandatory prescription is issued, patients forever have no right to choose where to obtain their medicines from. T.T

Patients expect medical doctors to provide detailed consultations, investigations or surgical intervention. Whereas when patients goes to collect medicines, they expect their prescription to be screened, drugs to be compounded correctly and appropraitely labelled. Finally, patients would also like that sufficient advice is given when the medicine is dispensed to them. I hope that remind that pharmacist's role does not stop there. Pharmacist is also involved in pharmacovigilance where they are always available for patient/consumer to report any adverse drug event. These tasks are professionally handled by the pharmacist. How difficult is it to write down the diagnosis on the prescription? Effective communication is vital for organizational success. Hence, diagnosis should be written on prescription because information must be communicated effectively to improve patient care. Just my humble opinion.

i hope pharmacist can have more power in prescribing the drugs as we have spent about 4years in just focusing in drug use,clinical and community pharmacy, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic of the drugs etc. and hence let us to serve the nation with all of our knowledge,we are ready,are you?

I strongly disagree with this act. That is pharmacist right when it come to medicine. Non pharmacist even doctor does not know at all about medicine. This will effect the health care profession. So it is the right for pharmacist when it come to medicine. I said again, I STRONGLY DISAGREED.
