Is there even a need for the existence of pharmacists if that's the case of the implementation?

Being a final year Pharmacy student from Australia, this is absolutely unacceptable. Prescriptions must always be issued and indications of the medicines should always be stated clearly on prescriptions. Pharmacists undergo a 4-year course and 1-year internship but to be taken away rights to dispense and having non-pharmacists making compound medications is absurd.

We can't afford to risk the patient's health by not providing them a proper and complete prescriptions for their health condition. Pharmacist is the drug expert to monitor and prevent potential polypharmacy, adverse drug reactions and drug drug interactions in patient's drug regimens, no other professions are authorised to substitute the role of pharmacist in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medications being provided to the general public
