Building project is not a pertinent issue, doctors in the private sector are poorly remunerated and are poorly protected. And its not a statutory body so should not withhold license from Doctors if the levy isn't paid.

NMA's approach at collecting the said levy is unethical.
It's particularly pathetic that in it's so called NEC meeting where it discussed among other things, remuneration, nothing was said about thousands of young doctors in the shackles of private practice, overworked and underpaid.
NMA has clearly forgotten that majority of us are employed in that sector, and is unconcerned with our welfare but will stop at nothing to milk us of the hard earned income, that can hardly cater for our immediate needs.
