This is a petition against the new sixth form dress code starting for year 12s in September 2014 at Newstead Wood School. It is a protest against the formalisation of the dress, which costs money that some of us don't have, restricts the individuality of students and their ability to express themselves and also does not take into consideration the democratic decision made by the year 11 form reps and (I believe) the teachers based on feedback from all year 11s not to wear suits. On Tuesday 17th June I plan to print out this petition and hand it to Mrs Ross in person along with a formal letter of complaint. Please sign!
