To the GSC Board Members

We, the undersigned, urge the GSC Administration to immediately revoke the decision obliging nannies to wear uniforms and take the necessary steps to permanently cancel any regulation to that effect.

Membership cards issued for nannies are a sufficient form of identification and an effective method by which to fulfill any security requirements. Any other form of identification, such as the requirement to wear a uniform, can only be interpreted as a means to segregate between members and nannies which is discriminatory and exclusionary as well as an outdated practice in stark contrast with the GSC's supposed enlightened and progressive spirit.

Furthermore, members and nannies alike should be able to dress in a manner that allows them freedom of movement and that is compatible with our city's climate. Above all, nannies should be dressed in the manner that best serves the children they are responsible for, allowing for swift and nimble movement. A coat on top of regular clothes does not serve that purpose.

We urge the Administration to be very strict with controls at the entrances to fulfill the GSC's security responsibility and leave nannies' attire at the discretion of their respective employers.

السادة أعضاء مجلس إدارة نادي الجزيرة الرياضي

نحث، نحن الموقعون أدناه، إدارة نادي الجزيرة الرياضي على السحب الفوري لقرار إلزام المربيات بارتداء زي موحد، واتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة لإلغاء أي لوائح بهذا الشأن بشكل نهائي.

فبطاقات العضوية التي تصدر للمربيات تعتبر أداة كافية لتحديد الهوية، ووسيلة فعالة للوفاء بأي متطلبات أمنية. أما أي شكل آخر من أشكال تحديد الهوية، مثل اشتراط ارتداء زي موحد، فلا يمكن أن يفسر إلا على أنه وسيلة للفصل بين الأعضاء والمربيات، وهو ما يمثل تمييزًا وإقصاء، فضلاً عن كونه ممارسة عفا عليها الزمن، وتتناقض بشكل صارخ مع روح التنوير والتقدمية المفترضة في نادي الجزيرة الرياضي.

هذا فضلاً عن أن الأعضاء والمربيات، على حد سواء، يجب أن يتمكنوا من ارتداء الملابس التي تتيح لهم حرية الحركة، والتي تناسب طقس مدينتنا. وفوق كل شيء، يجب أن ترتدي المربيات من الملابس ما يتيح لهن تقديم أفضل رعاية للأطفال الذين يتولين المسؤولية عنهن، بحيث تتيح لهن سرعة وخفة الحركة. وبالطبع، فإن ارتداء معطف فوق ملابسهن العادية لن يخدم هذا الغرض.

نحن نحث الإدارة على توخي الصرامة التامة عند نقاط الدخول إلى النادي، للوفاء بمسؤولية تأمين نادي الجزيرة الرياضي، مع ترك مسألة زي المربيات لقرار اصحاب عملهن فقط.
