This is Nature conservation area as well as a Namibian Heritage. Mining polutes the air and not only destroy the natural environment, but will also break down a pivotal area which Nnaminians identify strongly with as well as destroy one of the most important tourist sites of that area. The moonlandscape which is part of the Erongo region identity.

Money is not all. They cannot just destroy our heritage. My family is in Swakopmund since 1896 . My father would not have survived without my grandmother to get fresh fruit and veggies to have enough milk for my dad to survive

This is wrong: Our nature and natural habitat and surroundings suffer for greed.
Instead, let Namibia concentrate on sustainable tourism which will provide much more income, long term. Tourists — and us locals — admire the untouched vastness of our desert and moonlandscape and the incredible variety of wildlife, big and small!

Mining will destoy our country if it is not controlled and currently it looks as if our whole country is up for grabs to foreign entities - no thought given to the irreversible damage it will cause. Namibia needs to be saved!

Stop the continuous robbing of the natural Namibian ressources, destroying landscapes and beautiful natural surroundings, being attractions to Namibians and tourists...as all those (primarily foreign) mining companies do not care about the attractions in Namibia being the sources of income for the Namibian community (tourism). They only seek their own profit and don't care about nature.

So well motivated already. Further, our children surely find better ways of mining needed resources. Give them a chance as well, don’t make them cursing us for destroying all because of greed. We have destroyed enough.
