Getting the locus to pay for it is a cheeky idea for a store uniform.

Professionalism arises from distinguishing between different job roles. This isn't possible if everyone is wearing a uniform.

The new work wear is not professional enough, i would not mind it as much if it was a suite but this "lab coat" like uniform will add to confusion.

I agree, I would not feel comfortable in this uniform. There's nothing friendly looking about an optom in a lab coat!

nervous patients wont like white coat medical staff. If Boots want us to wear uniform then it should be free. And plain white button shirt is nicer.

Anyone that has seen this poorly thought out uniform knows that it doesn't achieve the objectives boots has set out. I certainly would not feel comfortable in it. And I've heard so many negative comments from patients. Describing it as "straight jacket" or the "uniform you'd see in a take away establishment". This uniform does not make a patient feel at ease which surely should be paramount. This is just going to alienate them. I don't understand what's wrong with optometrists wearing their own suits especially locums. Anyway if this pitiful uniform is mandatory then surely it should be funded by boots.

Yet another example of the boots company applying the "divide and rule principle" in order to deliberately create conflict within the ranks of professional and unqualified/unregistered personnel-with a view to bringing all staff members down to the lowest common denominator and hence emasculating any perceived status that an individual may have by virtue of their experience, qualification and loyalty to the company

I represent myself and my own business, thus I don't think it is appropriate to wear substandard attire.
Trousers too baggy!
