Petition Against Fueled Farm Brewery- Middleburg, VA

This would be out of our character and would bring elements and situations that I oppose.

Put a stop to this nonsense!

We purchased in Middleburg because of the quiet, rural and historic aspect of the village. Please do not change it.

Totally inappropriate for the as well as dangerous to traffic on Route 50. anything like this should be in town limits.

We need to take great care of East of Middleburg lands. This proposal deserves deeper attention. We need to ask ourselves what the long term affects of such a proposal will bring and does this set a president for other such businesses in rural areas. Perhaps it a bad precedent. This needs to be carefully dissected. The drinking and driving should be highly considered as should disturbance yo neighbors and traffic. Would this help or hinder business in the town center? Why build bars and restaurants outside the town line?

Please, we do not need this so close to town!

These “farm breweries” have nothing to do with actual farming and only serve to destroy the quietude and quality of life for their rural neighbors. I urge the VA ABC board to deny this application based on the effect on the quality of life of the surrounding neighbors in addition to the degradation of the area East of Middleburg as a whole. The consequences of 150 cars with potentially impaired drivers pulling out on to rt 50 could be disastrous. We all know someone in our community that has either been seriously injured or killed on rt 50 over the past few years and adding alcohol to the equation will only add to the risks to our local community that travels this road every day. Please consider the negative impact this brewery will have on our rural community.

I strongly oppose this so called brewery. This site should not be turned into a commercial enterprise not related to a true agricultural use. This rural area is quickly diminishing and needs to be preserved

I oppose the development of the Fueled Farm Brewery in Middleburg, Virginia. It would detract from the rural character of the largely agricultural landscape where I was raised, and reduce the peaceful country atmosphere of its neighbors.

We do not need more beer/bar options on Route 50. There are more than enough. Strongly oppose approval

Middleburg has been a special place devoted to farming, conservation and animal welfare For a long time. The unspoiled countryside is a rare asset for the public benefit. Our untrammelled views once violated cannot be reconstructed. The proposed brewery is the antithesis of maintaining the countryside . I am adamantly opposed to it and hope it is rejected out of hand. How do they justify another bar/event facility in the middle of a pandemic?

A desecration. But what should one expect from a real estate agent and the other guy whose firm does civil engineering for subdivisions. They care only about money. This is wretched.

This would be a disaster! I grew up here and my parents owned the farm where Green Hill Winery is. We don't need more traffic or another Brewery at the entrance of Middleburg!

The experience of open land and working farms is disappearing at an alarming rate. There are so few places left that can be appreciated by those who live nearby and those who cherish a visit to our special countryside. Before you know it, all of these commercial endeavors will make us like every other developed place in our county. Let's celebrate farms, farmers and farming. If you want to welcome people to experience the special place we have worked so hard to preserve, have them come milk a cow or harvest vegetables for the food bank. Don't open up a commercial endeavor that has nothing to do with farming or celebration of the land.

This is a straight forward violation of the rural residential designation, and a threat our way of life.
