True pristine places are becoming more and more rare. Once they're gone it's never ever the same. Development of Nikko Bay, Palau must not happen or we will have sacrificed yet another fragile area to the greed of others.

Palau being pristine paradise should fight to keep important ecological places for future studies so we can better understand our marine environment. Out of all things, it should be preserved!

I live right next to this proposed project and I swim, snorkel and paddle outrigger canoe and standup paddleboard in the bay every day. This project is one of the worst I have ever seen, from both an environmental and a social standpoint. The reef would be severely damaged and the peace and tranquility of Ngermid village gone forever. It must be stopped.

Did any if you see what happened to Klubed at Ngetkib, Airai? Growing up in Ngetkib me and my family used to fish around, collect sea cucumbers, and and run around clear water. Then they started dredging and changing Klubed; not much was changed but that little digging changed our water. Now the sea cucumbers (molch) are gone when they used to be found everywhere during low tide, the population of the other (ngimes) declined. The water, muggy and dirty! The closer you are to Klubed the more you find that the sea grass, sea cucumber, and sea life are gone; turned into something similar to marshland and the breeze stinks during low tide. What was said to bring in more boats to this marina didn't work. Besides klubed the surangle dock which is adjacent to Klubed also messed with wild life. Although not as bad as klubed it still brought damage that is the same; Lesser sea cucumbers, fish, and sea grass. Please my fellow Palauans, humanitarians, and anyone who is against this sigb thw petition. This needs to stop before it's too late!
