It is time that the council is starting to introduce a £1 per person per night tourist tax to pay for things rather than get more and more money from people who live here.

Its part of the council tax we pay. Will parents have to start paying extra for lollipop crossings or everyone pay to enjoy a walk in the park. Suggest councillors pay parking charges for attending meetings at HQ.

Absolutely rediculous. My bin can be uplifted. I have a car so I can take stuff to the dump but many elderly will be stuck with paying. What on earth do we pay rates for? Soon they'll charge for all the bins we are lumbered with!

Think our increased council tax should cover a bin collection surely

I'll considered and short sighted. Cost of admin for scheme, higher landfill tax, and increased fly tipping clean up will devour any money the sceme raises. Simply a bad idea.

Disgrace charging for this service when community tax is extortionate!!!

Many households do not use / have no need for brown bin collection, no requirement therefore no need to pay for a service not used!

This is a disgrace. I pay a huge amount in council tax as it is which is also due to rise by 3%. This charge will lead to fly tipping which will cost the council much more to remove and dispose of.

We're struggling with outgoing monies being more than income already. This is certainly an outrage on top of the increases. Obviously the council are trying to implement this with stealth and not properly informing the public as it was a chance remark by a friend that informed me of this payment.
