Refuse to pay for uplift of brown bins as this charge is already being made due to increase of 3% on coucil tax. This service is part of what we pay our council tax for.when green waste goes into green bin how much extra is this going to cost on land fill ? If council wants to save money put lorries on 15hour day and refuse operatives working 2×7:5 hr shift per day and that would allow less lorries to be leased. As it stands just now lorries and men are only working average 5/6 hrs a day. What a saving that would make!!!

Standard highland council, feel like im never through giving them money and most of the time see very little in return!

We have already been charged an extra £300 council tax so this is just another stealth tax

We are already having to contend with the overall rise in the council tax. Cancel the extra charge or start itemising for all the rest of the services so that we only pay for what services we use.

No this is shcoking i am not paying for any charge of a brown bin it only gets used during summer periods if people actually do gardening. Also please stop with the scare mongering threat of 40 teachers will loose thier job if we do not pay for a brown bin that is barley used hence why we pay council tax, just take your brown bin away and waste more money......this budget for HC is just going in circles.

This is a retrograde step in terms of greening Highland Council. It will lead to more fly-tipping or people who cannot afford the extra charge filling green bins with garden waste, so more landfill costs for the council

I disagree about the increase to the £30 charge to the uplifting of the brown bin. I will not be paying this charge in July. £30 this year , what price next year.

NO way am i paying for this, i'm a composter so my brown bin never gets picked up
