The cost of everything is on the increase but to place another charge on the middle class will only lead to issues. This will no doubt lead to more fly tipping but one the ither hand it it bio degradable.

What are we paying council tax for if not for uplifting waste and why should we have to pay twice
No brown bins will mean people will just put it all in the green bin instead... tell me again why I'm paying that much council tax?

This is a necessity not a luxury which I would like to remain covered by council tax I pay now. Live near woodlands so not my own garden has filled my bin to the neck over the winter but windblown leaves from forest into my fenced garden. Would I be entitled to tip all the beech oak sycamore etc leaves as I don't have these trees onto the grass verge which I do pay monthly to clear and cut ?

This charge will result in fly tipping and garden waste ending up in the green bin. Surely the Council can make money from the composting of the brown bin contents to cover any costs of collection.

Sick everyone always hitting the working population, is my wages going up in line with rising charges, i wish!!!

Can't up our council tax then expect us to pay for collection .

If the council is trying to make savings through this move; it should put the service out to private tender; thus the service would continue and the council would hopefully also make a saving

Absolute disgrace introducing this charge after increasing council tax by 3%. Councillors should hang there head in shame

My council tax is already going up due to Scottish government charge on Band G homes and then 3% Local Authority charge which means it already goes up by over £400 per year. Surely no more charge should be added, I thought Council Tax was to pay for services.

Its always the motorist or householder who is pumped for more money.We pay enough as it is.If i don't pay will the council call and uplift the brown back into their ownership.
