It's absolutely ridiculous. We're akready struggling to pay for everything and now need to pay even more.. :'(

I have no idea would it mean if in your street you are the only one to pay the charge other folk would just dump their garden waste in your brown bin? How would the council police this?

Councill taxes going up so we have to pay twice for servics? Time for Highland Council to manage its budget rather than dun the public Fly tipping will ruin our rural areas and cost more to tidy up

The council tax is excessive as it is and we do get all the services as it is.

3% council tax, band increase and now £30 brown bin charge for something we only use once a month, disgraceful!!, will certainly lead to fly tipping and spoiling our Highlands.

Absolutely ridiculous what do we pay our council tax for...if the council would spend our money on things that are needed instead of stupid sculptures etc etc then money would not be an issue

I am a pensioner and have paid council tax and rates before that and feel the council is not living up to my expectation of care of the community.

This is completely ridiculous and to be quite honest unfair on lower earning households. What will happen-everything will go into GREEN bin!!

Not everyone uses a brown bin which means only some will be charged and I think this will lead to fly tipping on a bigger scale. I thought this was why we pay council tax.

Have seen the effects in other areas, i.e. Fly tipping increasing! Not to mention that we already are paying for the service via our council tax, which is also going up!

If the council need to increase their revenue,I would be more than happy to be part of an independent no fee audit team to scrutinise their books and advise accordingly

Council tax up 3% and paying more because of living in a band G house. Just another way of squeezing more money out of us. This brown bin charge is not restricted to just Highland it is UK wide but there is opposition in many cases. What next, blue bin charges?
