Petition Against £30 Charge for Uplifting Brown Bins

Less service for more money !

I will check who my local councillor is. Whatever party, he / she will not get my vote next time around on this issue alone.

I refuse to pay the brown bin charge. Have never used my brown bin so Highland council you can come and remove it!

Just take my brown bin away. I will put grass cuttings in regular bin

Recycling is important/valuable. The fee won't cover admin costs & will result in people putting into regular bin what would have gone into recycling. Council should be encouraging more recycling - not less.

Band E upwards are already increasing by 6% and lower bands by 3% this further increase is daylight robbery! An increase in fly tipping is on the cards whIch will cost the council even more to clean up. Typical Highland Council shortsightedness.

Totally ridiculous,

We are paying more and getting less services.

Yet again, greedy councillors lining their own pockets at expense of those who can least afford it. Instead they should take a cut in their own vastly-inflated incomes to meet the £20m shortfall. Shame on you all!

THIS IS THE SLIPPERY SLOPE TO FLY TIPPING AND IS JUST ANOTHER EXCUSE FOR THE COUNCILL TO SCREW THE PUBLIC AND LINE THEIR POCKETS

Council's collect their customers recycling waste, and what is collected generates money for them and the companies contracted to them. The contracted recycling companies in turn maintain a businesses. Rate payers already pay for refuse collection included in our council taxes, that are already undergoing massive percentage increases accross all counties. I'm opposed to this legalised, and unethical, extortion proposal.

My council,tax is going up by over £300 of annum and Highland Council have the cheek to want to charge me £30 a year to pick up my garden waste. I don't think so.

Absolutely furious at the disgusting charge by THC you'd think we never had #counciltax , how are the council enforce this , and how do people opt out

We already pay to much council tax as it is
