We pay council tax
Why should we pay more when the council just compost the contents of our brown bin and inheard they sell the compost making money from this.
Now this is unconfirmed but if its true the its a scandle.

It will cost the council more to clear away the resulting fly tipped rubbish than to empty our brown bins under the current arrangements. We see enough rubbish dumped already, when litter picking alongside local roads and in lay-bys. We don't wish to see more.

HC argue not everyone enjoys bb collections. There are many things not enjoyed in different parts of the region I.e. Car parking charges. Invernessians pay through the nose to park around the city or even on residential streets outside their homes! Maybe time for the tail to stop wagging the dog and for The city to go it alone as a separate entity?

The greatest impact will be felt by those who already struggle to afford Council Tax charges. We all pay more and services get reduced. Where's the fairness in that!

This is going to increase fly tipping, not fair on people who are on low incomes and also you have already raised the council tax amount

Totally unfair on people who cannot afford this charge and have no way of getting to recycling centres. In summer months brown bin collection should be weekly instead of fortnightly and totally free for all!

We are pensioners and to find £30 for bin collection is way out of our funds so it looks very much like you will be uplifting your brown bins
