My husband and I have worked very hard over many years to purchase our home and plan on having higher property values for retirement. We have put a lot of money into improving our home!!!! We feel if this HUD housing is allowed to be built near our neighborhood that our property values will greatly decrease!!! All the work and money we have invested in our home will be lost.

Allowing low income housing in this area will only increase crime and lower property values. There are other areas that this housing could be built where other low income housing has already destroyed. Why ruin good neighborhoods. We will end up like Detroit or Chicago at this rate.

I don't want this low income apartment right beside where I live. it will bring property values down and I'll have to move.

I always thought the best things about the Northland - trees/green space would lead to the downfall of the Northland. Builders look at those spaces that makes our area so great to build crap and destroys the very things that may it so desirable to live here. Add low income/section 8 and kill it even faster. We have already had an uptick in crime and traffic - this is only make it increase that much faster. NO!!!!!

There's enough housing along 169 hwy and Barry Road. Do not need more.

Keep all the crime and mischief where it is at property value is already going down plus they just moved the police station so not close anylonger.

I grew up in the inner city and moved to a better location for myself and children. I pay higher taxes, mortgage, and taxes for a better school. I could've moved to the inner city and saved money but I chose the northland for a reason. I would prefer this initiative does not go through.

We pick where we live for a reason. If I wanted to live in the inner city I would've moved there initially for much cheaper than I'm living now.

I worked hard to get to where i am and i dont want the house that my wife and i worked to hard to be able to purchase to depreciate in value. I worked hard to get to where i am in life and i will not let someone else reach it effortlessly.

This is horrible news for the Northland ... it definitely cause our property value to go down. We moved a few years ago from iur last neighborhood for the same reason..

I am going to be buying a house just off Barry Road, I don't want to buy a house and then have property values to drop.
