We live in a safe fairly crime free community. It has been proven that low income communities not only bring property values down but have a large negative, crime ridden communities.

64151 - Perhaps before building these, they should ask the residents in the original buildings if they want to relocate. I would bet they don't want to move either. But, that being said, I don't want property values lowered, our school districts to be overcrowded, and our police overworked.

I don't want this neighborhood filled with crime. The area is safer than most right now. I paid a hefty rent to live in a safe area at Carrington Park and to think low income people who don't have jobs will be brought in to destroy the area makes me livid. And I've seen many low income housing areas trashed in my 64 years. No not our neighborhood

Just because everyone wants to live downtown & the Chouteau, Guinnotte, West Bluff Projects are prime real estate now Hud wants to relocate how about remaining downtown redeveloped 18th Vine or bannister mall area.

I moved to the Northland because I wanted to get away from public and section 8 housing that ruined my property value and quality of life in Independence. We don't want that here it only brings problems.

Why do we keep bulldozing down agrees when we have plenty of empty building we can use? Don't we have enough apartments and duplexes and houses? Who's going to live in all these homes?

zoning doesn't allow this type of development in this area, so it would be illegal

I am opposed to these developments. Use the abandoned schools scattered throughout our city. Protect our property values.

Splitting these groups of people up are in best interest for everyone. Picking up one large group and just relocating them is going to bring the drugs, guns and violence to our area and our schools.
