I've lived near the Hollow for going on thirty years Only now, with tha neighborhood gentrifying, have we seen any real movement to improve things at the Hollow - I mean, they repainted the basketball courts a few years ago but... With all the money developers are making, the rest of us should at least get something. And the Zeralda St. community garden just recently got a would- be developer to turn a plot over to them so: good time to act.

I grew up at Happy Hollow and ran track with Mallory. I would love to see the new plans take place.

Playgrounds are more important ever. Please save such spaces for kids.

This area’s youth desperately needs safe places to convene and learn and explore. The increased space can help alleviate the overcrowding, increase programming and more importantly decrease the blight in the area (which adds to the depression of its neighbors).

I work at Center in the Park located in Vernon Park. Two years ago I witnessed the extensive and I'm sure expensive renovation of the baseball Dimond. I have yet to see it used even with a pick up game. How much better if these funds had been directed to Happy Hollow.

Yes, please. Expand the rec center grounds, enrich the community (not developers.)

Neighborhood kids and community members need more space at HH to meet, play and plan together.

This need at Happy Hollow goes back to the years I was walking to Edwin H. Fitler School from 574 W. Clapier. School, built in 1898, still has the same concrete play yard. (Where Dr. Hite (and all local politicians, celebrated the infusion of federal funds during Covid.
