Kathleen had the artist's eye for beauty and she had the soul to embrace that creation that is the forest that emanates a special beauty all It's own. She desired to keep this place Whole and to share it's beauty with everyone.

Naming the Apshawa Preserve in memory of an outstanding citizen who contributed so mightily to the preservation and enhancement of open space for our Passaic County communities: this seems a fitting and meaningful tribute.

I worked and volunteered with Kathleen on numerous occasions and was always greeted with her warm smile and a hug. She will be deeply missed. Her commitment and dedication to West Milford and Passaic County was steadfast.
Honoring her legacy by renaming Apshawa would be a wonderful tribute to her memory.

She deserves that honor. Not many people believe in preserving land. May God receive her with open arms.

It was not until after her passing that I realized the extent of her influence within Passaic County. Having this area dedicated to honor her would be amazing.
