This petition is for Peter Crompton, Director of Music at the Royal Hospital School since 1984. Peter began his career at RHS having studied at the GNRCM. Under the guidance of Noel Rawsthorne he became a organist. Peter has been the official organist to the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall for 15yrs. He has worked tirelessly at the school building a musical tradition that many of us are incredibly proud of, in addition to this he formed the Holbrook Music Society and performs himself during the year amongst a busy full time boarding school schedule. Peter's dedication to teaching and growing the musical capabilities of students is unending, highlights include the school choir at the festival of Remembrance, singing at St Marks Venice and many many other great achievements. This OBE will not just be for Peter but for his wife who has supported him throughout and for all those lucky enough to have studied under him. Thank you!
