Couldn't agree more - Pete Grieder should be the LHHS Athletic Director (if he wants it!). The AD position should be more than just a way to pay a football coach an additional stipend! Coach Grieder is a true fan and supporter of every sport (and those who play) at LHHS, not just his own.

Pete Grieder has high standards and is highly ethical. He and his wife have raised there children to walk in a way that honors God. His strong leadership, ethical standards, desire for excellence and the ability to mold boys into men would be a wonderful asset to the community.

Former wrestler of coach grieder and I owe him a lot more than I can offer. He shows so much care and passion to everything he does. Whether that's coaching his wrestlers, teaching his geometry class or spending his time watching the lives of others at the highland park community pool. This is the right man for sure. He's very well informed and interested in all sports, and also the athletes in the LH program. NOT JUST ONE TEAM/3-5 special players *Cough* Scott Smith *Cough* The point of an AD is to make sure the whole school progresses not just one sport. This position requires unity skills and with coach grieder LH will be more than unified but more like family.

Bringing in Coach Grieder's values and sense of community and team work is exactly what is needed in at LHHS. His leadership and obvious coaching abilities should be seriously considered as the model for the AD in RISD.

As President of the LH Band Parents, I have had many occasions to appreciate Pete Grieder as parent, coach, dedicated LH citizen. He and his wife have been pillars of our community. Pete is an excellent candidate and I encourage the search committee to consider his candidacy seriously.
I believe that Pete Grieder is the perfect fit for LHHS AD.

Pete Grieder's dedication to the LH Community, continual commitment to his LHHS Wrestler's success (athletic, academic, and personal), and development of successful a youth feeder program are just a few examples that should speak for themselves. He walks the walk. And I truly believe LHHS athletics could benefit from his leadership.

Pete is the winningest coach in RISD by far, having won 23 district titles and never placing lower than 2nd. He was elected to the Texas Wrestling Hall of Fame as well as the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.I have known Pete since 1999 and have whitnessed his calm lead by example nature. He has never raised his voice except to cheer and gets the most out of every wrestler at every skill level. Pete's devotion to his wrestlers goes way beyond the mat. He teaches citizenship and manhood and coaches wrestling.
