We, the undersigned, understand and are concerned about the health and environmental issues caused by the use of pesticides. We also understand that pesticides are not restricted to the location on which they have been applied, they seep into our ground water and they are blown as particulates in the wind, where their effects are cumulative. As such we support 1) an education and outreach program to the community and to current pesticide companies providing alternatives to pesticides 2) a by-law requiring posting more prominent poison signs when pesticides are being applied in Burlington (the word \"Pesticide\" in Black on a red background 8 Inches tall and a skull and crossbones measuring no less than 144 square inches) and a list of possible health impacts on the back to be in effect 2003 3) a by-law ban on cosmetic pesticide use on private property to be phased in over three years 4) a by-law ban on the sale of pesticides in stores in Burlington by 2005

Finally!! About time we worry about what we are spraying all over the ground where our kids and pets play. Gross.

Pesticides are dangerous. Why are we still using this stuff in 2020?? Stop the spraying now.

Keep this toxic garbage out of our town. The water runoff is already bad enough without adding chemicals to the mix.
