Btw, the petition is based on the conspiracy webist,e greenmedinfo, and its actually claiming somehitng that is not true
Why would someone start a petition based on the claims from a site that is known to lie about anything to do with agriculture and GMo and even farming? ITs a site that aslo pushes anti-vax claims, and regularly lies about autism.

don't know what "truly independent" research you refer to, but there is no reputable research that supports this claim. In fact many are saying to switch to synthetic over the more toxic organic pesticides since the synthetics are less detrimental on the environment
would you mind sharing links to these studies, what peer review they've gone through and what publications?
