Dengan ini, saya menulis nama untuk menuntut pihak Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP) agar menggugurkan segala tuduhan yang telah dibuat terhadap pelajar Universiti Malaya yang terlibat dalam program “40 Tahun: Dari UM Ke Penjara”. Tindakan pihak HEP yang tidak sehaluan dengan nilai teras UM terutamanya kebebasan akademik adalah amat mengecewakan.
Dengan ini, saya menulis nama untuk menuntut pihak Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP) agar menggugurkan segala tuduhan yang telah dibuat terhadap pelajar Universiti Malaya yang terlibat dalam program “40 Tahun: Dari UM Ke Penjara”. Tindakan pihak HEP yang tidak sehaluan dengan nilai teras UM terutamanya kebebasan akademik adalah amat mengecewakan.

University students should be given a chance to speak their idea in a proactive yet harmless way, as they are mature enough to reflect what they want and what they hope to improve in different aspects of our country. Tertiary education institute is a place where students are trained to be outspoken, be creative-minded, and start to realise their responsibilities in continuing the development of our country. If they are not even given the opportunity to express their opinion, I doubt what type of future leaders we can look forward to make us a stronger, happier, more developed society.
