Dengan ini, saya menulis nama untuk menuntut pihak Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP) agar menggugurkan segala tuduhan yang telah dibuat terhadap pelajar Universiti Malaya yang terlibat dalam program “40 Tahun: Dari UM Ke Penjara”. Tindakan pihak HEP yang tidak sehaluan dengan nilai teras UM terutamanya kebebasan akademik adalah amat mengecewakan.

Students voice should be heard by all. All UM has to provide is just a medium for their students. For one of the top universities in Malaysia, UM should act as an example for all by openly giving their students a chance to voice out as an adult and not being oppressed like a kid who should just follow whatever instructed without their own thinking and opinion. If a place where Malaysia produce students with intellectual and qualification cannot show their open-mindedness, where else in our country should we start having this?
